The 33rd edition of the annual International Kite Festival 2024 is set to be hosted by Gujarat Tourism in Ahmedabad from January 7th to January 14th, 2024. This International Kites Festival 2024 in Gujarat will span across various locations as is customary.




Scheduled for inauguration on January 7th at 8 am, the International Kite Festival-2024 will be officially opened by Gujarat’s Chief Minister, Bhupendrabhai Patel. State Tourism Minister Shri Mulabhai Bera will also grace the inaugural program. Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel is slated to actively partake in kite flying, aiming to enhance the excitement among kite enthusiasts.

In The competition of the International Kites Festival in Gujarat, 153 kite flyers hailed from 55 countries. 

These participants represent a diverse array of nations, including Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Republic of Korea, Lebanon, Lithuania, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.

Furthermore, the competition will feature 68 kite flyers from 12 Indian states, including Bihar, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh. 

Additionally, 865 kite flyers from 23 cities in Gujarat, such as Ahmedabad, Amreli, Anand, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Kutch, Botad, Gandhinagar, Jasdan, Junagadh, Kheda, Luwara, Mota Bhadia, Navsari, Oudh, Patan, Rajkot, Ranpur, Sabarkantha, Savarkundla, Surat, Thangarh, and Vadodara, will exhibit their kite-flying skills.
