Why Ayodhya Haat?

The Ayodhya Haat will not only create change around the ghat area but also boost the local economy, as shared by officials from the Ayodhya Development Authority. The plan includes special stalls featuring local artisans’ crafts, a floating restaurant, and boat services to attract tourists. For those who want to stay by the ghat, Ram Kutir cottages will be available.

A jetty will also be constructed at Chaudhary Charan Singh ghat, and there will be cultural events, laser shows, and musical fountains to enhance the beauty of Ayodhya Haat. The highest standards of cleanliness and environmental care will be upheld.

This initiative is part of the Uttar Pradesh government’s aim to make Ayodhya a significant religious tourist destination. With the opening of the Ram temple for devotees in January, the Ayodhya administration expects a notable increase in tourist numbers.

Over the past five years, the state government has completed 17 projects in Ayodhya, investing substantial funds, as part of its strategy to develop the town as a top religious tourist spot in the country.
